"Where Alpaca is better then Cashmere"

Two of A kinds

The two kinds of Alpacas are Suri , which is the rarer or the two, and  Huacaya. The primary difference between Huacaya and Suri is the appearance of their fur. They both have small heads with long necks and big pointed ears. Their bodies are slender with long legs and short tails. The Huacaya has a fuzzy teddy-bear- like coat with tightly bunched curls that makes for a somewhat fluffy appearance. The Suri fur is more like a lengthy flowing fiber that hangs down the side in long silky strings, and the locks look somewhat like Rastafarian dreadlocks.

Suri (surrey)- Has unique fiber characteristics that separate them from the rest of the camelid family. The Suri’s long, distinctive locks are composed of flat or twisted silky fibers in a dreadlock look that drape down the sides of the Suri’s body.

Huacaya (wa-kai-uh) - fiber is short, dense, crimped and fine Which gives the wooly Appearance
