Shearing of the Alpaca fleece happens only one a year. Usually it happens towards the end of spring, beginning of Summer, to give the Alpacas not only a nice cool summer but also a chance to grow back their fleece before the cold of winter rolls in . After the shearing is complete, the raw fiber is cleaned and prepared to the be spun into yarn from which it is made into beautiful alpaca products. |
