About Alpacas   

 

Alpacas have gone from a cherished treasure of the Incas thousands of years ago, to almost extinction at the hands of the Spanish conquistadors in the 1700's. In the middle 1800's Alpacas were practically reincarnated by the textile ideas of Sir Titus Salt. The alpaca is a very unique, gentle, and majestic creature that produces one of the worlds finest and most luxurious natural fiber with its cashmere-like fleece.
